Very Dense Foam Makes This Ideal for Box Squats

This heavy duty foam box is ideal for box squat; i.e. squating to one of 3 level. Its extremely well constructed with a durable surface/lining. Since the foam is very dense, the box has very little give, but isn't hard like say a wooden box or a bench with a conventional thin padding. Therefore when squating to it, you won't sink, but you also won't compress your spine. If you don't have a spotter, I wouldn't use it for jumps, it might work on one of the 3 sides, but is likely to tip if you jump on it. For that reason I also wouldn't recommend using it for step-ups. But if you do want to use it for jumps or step-ups and you have a spotter that keeps the box from tipping, it would be OK.

    Narrowed review of good product

My review involves a much more moderate level of activity compared to some of the more hard-core activity buffs out there. I use this form to moderate plyometric work as well as to enhance stretching and post workout recovery. It is best used on the broadest surface facing down. In this particular configuration use of the 20 and 24 inch sightings require placement against a wall to ensure you and the block remain stable. It does not tend to squish or collapse however it is rather unstable with the narrow edge down/at its highest configuration. It does feel well made, and is not overly heavy. This is a one month review.

This 3-in-1 jump box is fantastic! I love the versatility with the 14", 16", and 20" height options. I'm doing light plyo workouts, but it’s perfect for everything from beginner to advanced workouts. The sturdy construction gives me confidence during jumps and step-ups. I also use it to prop my back on when I do hip thrusts with the bar. Just a quick tip: if you’re using it on smooth floors, place a non-slip mat underneath or position it against a wall to keep it steady otherwise you'll go for a ride you don't want. Overall, a great addition to my home gym. Highly recommended!

We bought it for our kids to practice their box jumps and its very sturdy. The box is very heavy so I imagine it would be suitable for most adults. We like that it has multiple jumping heights for their practice. The box has been stable for their use (but keep in mind they are small people). I suspect it would be stable for most adults.
