I love this golf rangefinder. It has every feature you could want in one. Distance, slope, slope adjusted distance (slope can be turned off for tournaments), lock on pin up to 300 yds with vibration, 6x magnification, focus adjustment, strong magnet to hold on cart frame. And it is rechargeable with USB-C connection. I have found that it locks onto the pin quickly, and it is accurate. I have not had any false picks with this Callaway rangefinder, however I had that issue occasionally with others I have had. All of the above is in a smaller package than I have seen before. Not too small that it is awkward and I wear a size large glove. It is not inexpensive, but it is built to last. Just don't leave it on the cart when you return it!

As someone who already owned a rangefinder, why would i upgrade to this model? There are 2 major reasons. 1) the ability to detect range through branches. I play a lot of holes that have forced carries over high desert shrubbery. And often, I can't use my rangefinder to get accurate yardages to bunkers and hazards that I'm trying to avoid. I think we've all had the frustration of trying to detect a flag through branches. This rangefinder has the intelligence to do that. 2) Anyone with a rangefinder I think has gotten yardages to flags that completely didn't make sense. A 150 yard shot that reads as 200 yards. Getting a hill behind the flag instead of the flag itself is a common frustration. As a golfer, I can tell that 200 yard reading is wrong when I know it's more like 150. But what if I detected a mound behind a back flag that read as 160 instead of 150. Would your smell test detect the misreading? This rangefinder will vibrate when it locks onto a flag yardage. What a welcome feedback loop.
Beyond those 2 reasons, these will detect flags upto 300 yards. As someone who can hit his 4 wood 275 yards, it's frustrating when my range finder can't tell my how far I have to the flag when approaching a Par 5 with my 2nd shot. This rangefinder is also accurate to +/- 1 yard. It also looks gorgeous. Magnet is VERY strong, so you can feel safe that the rangefinder won't fall off your golf cart roof support rods. It's also gorgeous, compact and comes with a great case.
As someone who already had a rangefinder, why'd I upgrade? I think I detailed my reasons why…if you have had similar experiences with your rangefinder or are new to rangefinders…this is a great rangefinder.

The question is, does that brand name and the smaller size warrant paying 6X to 9X the cost of the cheaper models? For me the 4 stars is just borderline, as the $300 original price was much too high and $250 is still too high. The price has dropped to $250 recently to keep this from being a 3 star review, and apparently most potential buyers agree or the price would not have been cut by $50.

I got this ranger finder to take around when traveling. It was a nice small and portable size that I thought would be easier to take around the course. The PROS are that this range finder is really easy and simple to use. Turning it off and on the slope is really easy and it seems like it takes accurate measurements. I do like that there is a little bit of a vibration when you hit the target. I like that is small because it doesn't take up much space in your bag and can easily fit in your pocket. The CONS are that it's very small so might easily be misplaced. I've almost lost my own range finder thats a bit bigger than this one, so this one can easily be overlooked if you put it down somewhere for a second. In terms of usage, bc it is smaller it is less stable when you're holding it up and keeping it still to hit the flag. If you have shaky hands it can be a little challenging. The bigger range finders are a bit more steady and have a more ergonomic feel. I also could not figure out to get the focal eye adjusted, but it was in focus so didn't matter. Overall if someone is looking for something more portable or small, this Callaway Micro Pro does the job. I'd give it a 4.5 so I'm rounding up to 5 for this review.

It's so easy to see the difference in quality between this Callaway and the off-brand range finders. This one is compact, but has a great weight to it, it's well balanced and comfortable to hold and push the buttons while looking through. It has all the necessary features like pin-locking and slope adjustment. I like how it also has the lights on the front to indicate slope being on or off and to indicate being in compliance with tournament rules. It's got a strong magnet to stick on the cart roof rails for easy access. The viewfinder is easy to read and there's a very wide field of vision. I took this to the driving range and shot out at a few distances and the reading was within 1-2 yards of the marked signage, but could easily depend on where the tees were set up in the tee area. 250 sign hit at 248.8 a little forward of the mid-point on the tee area, so seems to be dead on. Will be swapping this one in for my prior off-brand rangefinder for a permanent spot in my bag.

I am pretty sure that the price tag on this product is for the name only. You can find range finders that offer the exact same features for a fraction of the cost. This range finder does work as expected, but I wouldn't order it again at this price.

This range finder is built like a tank. It is surprisingly small and easily fits into your pockets. It screamed quality when removed from the packaging. It comes with a nice protective case and carabiner. The focus adjustment brings the displayed information into sharp focus. I tried it on a sample of distances and it picked up the pin immediately. Depending upon the background, it may take a time or two. It has a vibrating function but leave it turned off to extend the battery life. It is rechargeable and states it will last a hundred rounds which is great. Also has the red and green flashing lights in front so the competition can see if you're using the slope function or not for tournaments. Don't particularly care for the built-in magnet but that's just me.
